Role Overview: As a Healthcare Inquest/Regulatory Solicitor in the Regulatory department, you will be responsible for managing a diverse case-load of inquest files for care homes, healthcare trusts, and other organizations. Your role will extend to regulatory defense work, and there is an opportunity to engage in Mental Health and Court of Protection cases. Advocacy at pre-inquest hearings and inquests is a key aspect of the role.



Responsibilities:

• Manage a case-load of inquest files for care homes, healthcare trusts, and other organizations
• Handle regulatory defense work
• Attend applications and hearings in court
• Conduct advocacy at pre-inquest hearings and inquests
• Collaborate with the team to provide expert advice to individuals and organizations facing Healthcare and Safety, criminal, and regulatory prosecutions
• Advise Healthcare Professionals/Organizations facing criminal and professional regulatory sanctions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Solicitor with 3-10 years PQE
• Previous experience in Healthcare Inquest/Regulatory law
• Advocacy experience is preferable
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the team
