Orion are proud to support our leading Aerospace client located in the heart of the East Midlands near Leicestershire who are actively looking to embed a talented Quality Engineer into their exisiting, well established Quality Engineering Team. Our client exclusively partner with clients across the aerospace and defence sectors with their unique product offering which is predominantly mechanically biaised that are the fundamentals of how their clients make their products.

What will your duties include as their Quality Engineer?

• Supporting regular Root Cause Analysis investigations, utilising 5-WHY, 8D and other methodologies 
• Create and implement APQP 
• Assess products for non-conformance purposes and liaise with suppliers accordingly 
• Support FAIRS inspections 

In order to apply you need to be able to demonstrate:

• Full right to work in the UK without needing sponsorship either immediate or future requests
• Ability to comfortably commute to site address each day ( there will be no hybrid working with this opportunity) 
• At a minimum, 2 years of experience working as a Quality Engineer within a Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Automotive Manufacturing environment 
• Solid grasp of APQP 
• Demonstrable examples of working on RCA Investigations
• Good knowledge of working on or in line with AS-9100 or ISO 16949 standards
