We're on the lookout for a Senior Customer Development professional to join our winning Foodservice team driving our National Accounts across our major end users (MEU). 

Reporting into the Director - Nationals, Foodservice you will be entrusted with driving profitable top-line growth by putting the customer at the forefront. Your mission? Achieve and surpass volume and profitability targets by expertly managing and nurturing McCain's presence within our key account portfolio.

You'll have the privilege of collaborating with titans in the foodservice realm, empowering them to influence the landscape of potato products and appetiser offerings while banishing soggy fries from the menu for good.

You will also…

• Spearhead our new business approach by engaging proactively with key stakeholders, fostering a continuous stream of fresh opportunities, and orchestrating their seamless execution.
• Exceed predetermined volume and profitability benchmarks within the National Account sector, securing and maintaining business at mutually agreed upon margin levels.
• Craft and implement bespoke Customer Business Plans, meticulously aligning them with company objectives and strategies. Monitor progress monthly, ensuring objectives are met and exceeded.
• Collaborate closely with the Category Development team to design and deploy a comprehensive plan that identifies and prioritizes potential customers, enhancing our market presence among major end users. Tailor sector-specific solutions to resonate with key stakeholders, showcasing the enduring value proposition through compelling insights.
• Cultivate robust relationships with influential figures within client organizations, spanning Purchasing, Menu Development, Marketing, and Operations, at every pertinent level.
• Direct and execute initiatives aimed at bolstering McCain's footprint within client establishments. Coordinate with internal departments to drive tailored activities, such as Customer and Product Marketing, and provide robust support to Field Sales.
• Play an active role in shaping the McCain GB Foodservice strategy, contributing insights and recommendations to the Foodservice Leadership Team to continuously refine and enhance performance.
• Collaborate with the National Sales Controller to mentor and nurture the broader National Account team, in alignment with the McCain Performance framework, fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.

You must also have the following experience and skills…

• Proven Account Management experience with strong industry knowledge in FMCG/Foodservice and the ability to build really strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• P&L accountability and joint Business Planning experience
• Experience within branded business and knowledge of NPD processes
• Strong negotiation, persuasive and influencing skills
• Your planning and organisation must be on top form
• You must also be Social & Tech savvy (Salesforce/Vistex Systems)

Where will I work?

This is a Home Based role. Our Head Office is in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and we operate a hybrid working policy here at McCain so although we’d like to see you on a weekly basis – your success will be measured by the objectives you deliver! However, we are a business built on connectedness and collaboration, so you must be within a relatively reasonable distance to help us maintain that togetherness.
