Full Stack Web Engineer
Colchester
Up to £35,000

Are you ready to take the next step in your career as an Full Stack Web Developer? This fantastic opportunity in Colchester offers you a chance to join a software engineering team to develop new systems that are set to disrupt and revolutionise the industry. These systems include both internal and public facing web applications. This role is suited to a candidate that would enjoy working with an exciting variety of technologies and is open to new challenges. Applicants should have strong experience in at least one front-end and one back-end ecosystem, ideally React + PHP. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Software development using React to build user-centric front-ends
• Designing and building API endpoints and back-end controllers in Symfony
• Optimise page-load speed via code optimisation and CDN delivery
• Investigating new and emerging technologies and applying them to our existing tech stack
• Working closely with others in the software development team to manage and plan projects
• Working with UI/UX designers to plan and develop user journeys
• Discussing new product requirements with other departments to develop new solutions
• Releasing units of work to production and monitoring releases
• Provisioning cloud resources and environments for new projects
