We are delighted to be working exclusively with this growing business in their search for a permanent Financial Controller.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Green Energy Business in Teeside, with long-term support from a private equity investor. Already profitable and cash-generating, the business has a very positive outlook.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, with day-to-day reporting to the CEO, this position is an all-round role covering many aspects of financial and management accounting from receiving invoices to the production of accounts and forecasting.   The Financial Controller will be responsible for understanding and interpreting the financial performance which will include maintaining a high level of financial control for all activities on site. 

We are seeking a hands-on, flexible team player who has good organisational skills, is able to plan their own workload and ensure that colleagues deliver to agreed timescales.  Ideally you will have the following attributes:

• Fully qualified accountant in either of the major financial qualifications ACA/ACCA or CIMA. QBE also considered
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role with a thorough practical understanding of accounting principles & techniques
• Financial reporting and operational experience preferable
• Comfortable working with IT systems, Sage in particular
• Good Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, graphs and data analysis
