I am recruiting a number of
CARING and
PASSIONATE Support Workers to join a Residential Service for Young Adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. The service, which is located in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire supports young adults between the ages of 18 - 30 years old.
The service is looking for candidates with a caring nature and the ability to have fun and engage with the people they support. ** Full UK Licence preferred.**
Job Title: Support Worker
Salary: £22,880 - £24,960 + £1500 Welcome Bonus
Location: Outside of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire (SG8 postcode)
Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time) OR 24 hours per week (part-time)
Contract Type: Permanent Benefits of a Support Worker Role:
A welcome bonus of £1500 is structured into two payments: 50% upon probation completion and the remaining 50% after one year of service.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for the following:
Working one-on-one with residents during each shift.
Empowering residents to plan their day according to their preferences, promoting independence, and fostering memorable experiences.
Providing personalized care to residents and facilitating various developmental, social, and recreational activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, music, gardening, swimming, shopping excursions, and social gatherings.
Seeking proactive individuals who exhibit compassion, empathy, and a person-centred approach in supporting our young people.
Prioritizing the safety and well-being of service users at all times.
Adhering to individualized care plans for each resident.
Engaging residents in community outings and activities.
Actively participating in a variety of recreational pursuits including arts and crafts, gardening, and day trips.
Requirements:
No experience is required.
Motivated to learn and to go the extra mile
Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and understanding
Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
