Principal Data Management Manager

Across the Centrica group we have established a vast rudimentary data lake comprising of UK & Ireland wide customer and enterprise data for group and our trusted businesses (British Gas, Bord Gais Energy, Centrica Business Solutions, Centrica Energy and Upstream). This data source presents a huge opportunity to create significant value for our customers, for us to build innovative products, provide new services and improve the capabilities of our Centrica employees to drive our journey as we transition towards NetZero. This is where you come in.
We are looking for a Principal Data Management Manager to lead the development of data management across the Centrica Group. As a Principal Data Management Manager, you will prioritise and create critical use cases for data management as well as support all business units and data owners in the development of data management. You will also manage a team of data management experts to deliver the data management capabilities needed for Centrica.

Location: You will be required to work out of our London and Windsor offices approximately 3 days per week.
About the Role:
Ensure customer data is managed appropriately and lawfully.
Ensure customer data is protected and managed with respect to customers' expectations.
Engage relevant internal stakeholders and teams to agree design and implementation of data management.
Create clear data management demand across all business units.
Work with relevant stakeholders to identify any data management risks and mitigation needed.
Engage and inspire the team to own and deliver efficiency initiatives resulting in a successful business, and a great customer experience with strong customer retention.
Ensure strong interaction and liaison between colleagues in pursuit of efficient and effective delivery.
About You:
Significant experience working in a data management function.
Experience working in data communities and technical environments.
Experience delivering adoption of data governance/management frameworks.
Significant Master Data Management experience, MS Azure, Purview and other MDM / Metadata management technologies.
