Apprentice (Internal Audit) Do you have an eye for detail? Then this apprenticeship could be for you Internal auditors examine and analyse company records and financial documents. They identify issues like compliance concerns, risks, fraud, and data inaccuracies. After reviewing all records within their audit's scope, they investigate any problems they find.
As an Internal Audit Apprentice, you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in the Internal Audit, Risk and Fraud Service.
The Internal Audit Team is an independent, objective assurance and consultancy activity, which provides assurance to the council that internal controls, procedures and governance arrangements are effective.
You will develop skills to provide effective and efficient support to the team to help the service operate effectively and efficiently.
You will be based in County Hall but you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.
What qualification will I gain?You will study towards the Internal Audit Practitioner Level 4 standard or the Assistant Accountant Level 3 standard with a trusted training provider.
What will I need?You must either have or expect to achieve 5 GCSE’s grade 9-4/A*-C in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification, together with good communication and ICT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
