SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT | HIGH WYCOMBE
We’re looking for a fabulous Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in taking responsibility on VAT and technical accounting activities whilst driving high levels of accounting standards and reporting.
You’ll embrace change and lead on ad hoc projects such as the automation of finance processes, this role offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and development within The Perfume Shop.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Accountable for the day-to-day management of the Fixed Asset register, ensuring assets are capitalized and depreciated in line with group policies.
· Responsible for producing the UK and Irish VAT returns, making sure you’re up to date on any VAT regulation changes and bringing them to the business for attention. You’ll also develop experience in corporation and deferred tax through assisting in tax compliance submissions.
· Preparation of the monthly balance sheet, and quarterly consolidated accounting statements reporting; as well as responsible for reviewing and following up on team balance sheet reconciliation.
· Work with the Internal Audit team, supporting and providing insightful analysis to improve business results. You’ll act as a business partner to an area team, providing support to Store Managers in understanding financials and KPIs.
· Using and building upon your expertise this role will play a key part in our Finance transformation strategy, using new and existing tools you will deliver improvements in VAT and other Oracle Financial processes.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
· You’re technically strong and have the desire to grow your experience in financial accounting and IFRS, you want to work in a highly commercial environment and enjoy the pace of retail.
· ACCA/CIMA Qualified or finalist, or qualified by experience
· Previous experience in a corporate accounting role with strong technical accounting experience.
· Strong Excel skills.
· You are ambitious to grow and develop within our Finance team.
