We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution, ensuring its optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and Optimize PaaS Solution
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our Azure-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution.
- Monitor the performance, scalability, and reliability of various Azure services including App Service, Redis Cache, SQL Servers, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks, performance issues, and system outages within the PaaS environment.
- Utilize extensive experience to investigate and diagnose problems related to Azure services.
Collaboration with Development Team
- Work closely with the development team to understand application source code, specifically written in Microsoft ASP.NET Framework 4.8.
- Collaborate with developers to identify code-level issues affecting system performance and assist in resolving them.
Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure that the PaaS solution complies with security standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement security measures and perform regular audits.
Documentation
- Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Create and update runbooks to facilitate incident response and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Azure.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure services such as App Service, Redis Cache, SQL Servers, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft ASP.NET Framework 4.8 and C# with JavaScript, jQuery and Angular
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance within Azure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
