This busy secondary school based in Epsom is currently looking to recruit a passionate school chef manager to head up the whole catering operation. As the new school chef manager, you will be wholly responsible for preparation, cooking and serving of all the school meals over the busy lunch period. Within the kitchen you will be supported by other chefs and catering assistants, which it will be your job to coach and motivate. The school has multiple service pods which need to be stocks and replenished throughout the day. Working days for this role are Monday - Friday and hours will vary dependant on rota'd requirements.
What's involved?
The planning and costing of healthy, delicious meals for the students.
Maintain positive relationships with the school food and equipment suppliers.
Running and maintaining a smooth lunch service for the students on site
Day to day back of house management duties
Managing the kitchens Health and safety regulatory compliance
Being the voice between the school client and the catering company, relaying and implementing any key compliance procedures.A valid enhanced DBS certificate on the update service is essential for this role.
