ASD Teacher - EYFS (MPS/UPS+SEN allowance)

Netley Primary School

Location

Camden, Greater London | United Kingdom

Job description

Do you have an interest in Autism or have experience working with children with Autism? Are you an outstanding teacher? We have a vacancy in our mainstream for an intervention teacher to support EYFS children with ASD. You will be supported by a team of Child Support Assistants and a Speech and Language Therapist.

The post is to support across EYFS in planning and delivering intervention lessons for ASD children in the mainstream school. The class teacher role will be based in our mainstream, teaching a small class of children, in a specially designed intervention classroom, supported by a team of Child Support Assistants and a Speech and Language Therapist. We are looking to appoint the best from across the Primary range. The successful applicant will take up the post ideally after Easter 2024, but we will also consider applicants for a September 2024 start. This role is a new, innovative post, and therefore is being offered as a fixed term- 1 year contract, with opportunity to extend, as the post is evaluated throughout the year. Although we envisage this role to continue, as the needs of the pupils and school change, this post may become class based rather than intervention based.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with QTS to work in our thriving Rights Respecting School. We are a two form entry mainstream primary with an autism resource base for 30 pupils and a centre for two year olds. Netley Campus also comprises an Adult Learning Centre, Camden’s Primary Pupil Referral Unit and an NHS Language & Communications Team. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a vibrant learning campus and an ambitious school. We are looking to appoint the best from across the Primary range.
