Without the support of its trustees, Community Counselling simply could not operate: trustees play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation.
Because trustees are ultimately responsible for the charity - as well as giving advice - they sometimes have to ask difficult questions of the Chief Officer - and of other officers of the charity - to ensure that the organisation is meeting its charitable objects, fulfilling all its ethical and legal requirements, providing a professional service to clients and value for money to its funders and commissioners.
The success of Community Counselling since is was established as an independent charity in 2013, is in no small part due to the dedication and hard work of the trustees. The fact that it is a small Board has been an advantage as it has meant that it has been possible to take important decisions in a timely (and an appropriate) manner where necessary.
Before you applyPlease apply via this website in the first instance. However, the Chief Officer would be happy to talk to you about the role and to answer any questions you might have at any time.
