Job Description
Following several years of accelerated growth, we now have a BRAND NEW EXCITING role for an E-Commerce & POS Manager to join our team at Brackmills! This particular site is a high quality facility, specialising in bonded drinks and providing a nationwide delivery service to our prestigious clients in the fine wine and champagne industry.
Our sole customer is none other than Moet Hennessey, who are looking to consolidate UK operations from 3 sites currently, into this 1 dedicated site. This is a very exciting time to join us on our journey, as our POS requirement is to “Go Live” in September 2023, with our E-commerce solution proposal being mid-2024.
This role is of a Senior Manager on site and reports directly into the General Manager. Ultimately as the E-Commerce & POS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all functions in the delivery of service to our customer. Managing these avenues of business for our customer is going to be challenging, but enjoyable. 5 star customer service is a prerequisite to both new parts of our business; quality is paramount and should go hand in hand with exceptional service delivered by the role holder; expectations are high with both our customer and the end customer.
An experienced Manager for e-commerce would suit this position, preferably having managed a VAS service, POS activity or event management service previously. In order to be successful in this role, you will be determined, driven, supportive and collaborative with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail; a people manager with problem-solving skills who can think outside the box to deliver all expectations.
Key responsibilities of the E-Commerce & POS Manager include :
- Ensuring the efficient operation of the E-commerce and POSM functions, delivering on time in full to a minimum performance of achieving the service level requirement.
- Providing data required in various formats and be experienced and confident in the presentation of this data to display our performance in each area.
- Maintaining and improving performance levels in both efficiency and financial aspects.
- Achieving performance through development and control of resources, application of best practice, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Achieving KPI’s including items per hour, accuracy of stock control, labour churn, sickness and absence levels and service levels.
- Working within budget for all staffing, equipment, maintenance, training and material costs.
- Attending as required daily, weekly and monthly meetings.
- Directing, motivating and developing your management and operations team to equip them with the skills to effectively deliver the service we expect.
- You will be an effective communicator, responsible for communication to our customer, your team and other colleagues throughout the site.
- Considering proposals and implementation of improvement methods in regards to staff, operational changes to warehousing and associated activities which will improve efficiency or levels of performance.
- Ensuring a secure and safe environment for staff and products.
- Responsible for the health, safety and welbeing of your team.
- Positively influencing and managing your areas and teams to promote, deliver and sustain a safe working environment at all time.
Qualifications
In order to become our newly appointed E-commerce & POS Manager, you should possess:
- Proven e-commerce experience in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills with self-motivation and critical thinking.
- Proven experience in logistics/3PL with a quality awareness; with that experience comes the anticipation that you will drive these new areas of business forward to deliver the excellence we and Moet Hennessey require.
- Experience of POS service or similar transferrable process e.g. VAS/event management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop a team and recognise diverse opinions.
- The ability to motivate others and to lead by example.
- Proven leadership skills with strategic planning abilities.
- Technical knowledge, with data analytical skills and ease of working with numbers.
- Strong time management skills with determination and persistence.
- Proven Quality and Project management skills.
- Financial acumen with capabilities using MS Office including Excel, and in-house WMS systems.

- Budget management knowledge with experience of managing quality and continual improvement.
- Experience of the management of change and lean implementation and sustainment.
- Process creation experience with writing ability (flows and SOP’s).
