Tes is supporting the appointment of a Head of Technology (Food Specialist) to join an academy based in North East Lincolnshire.

The education and experiences they offer equips their young people with the leadership skills, team spirit, resilience and confidence to become outstanding citizens. At present, the academy offers Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and they offer GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition as an option subject at Key Stage 4. They are now in a position to look at growing the technology offer, with the possibility of introducing other subject areas as appropriate, and they are looking for someone to lead this exciting chapter. 

About the role

The role would involve leading Food Technology key stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to introduce further technology courses over time, including for sixth form for suitable candidates. At present, whilst small, the Food Technology team has a strong curriculum offer and built in CPD for staff. 

The successful candidate would also join one of the academy's eight houses and serve as a pastoral tutor within a year group.
