Job description
Due to continued success, our reputable and well established manufacturing Client in the Strabane area, is keen to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner. This is a new, permanent senior HR generalist/Senior HR Advisor job working within a busy HR function.
As a key member of the Group HR team, the HR Business Partner will be a trusted advisor and a strategic and operational partner to the business, supporting a headcount of circa 120 on site.
Working closely with the Head of HR, the HR Business Partner will promote HR policies and support the company’s people strategy as well as lead on HR projects and support the day to day operational HR activities on site.
The Role
- Report to the Head of HR and manage 1 direct report
- Provide a professional and dedicated HR advisory service
- Support and guide investigations and resolve employee relations issues – grievance and disciplinary matters
- Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with departments within the business
- Support internal and external recruitment activity
- Support the HR team in the recruitment process including interview plans and delivery of onboarding processes
- Promote best practice people processes and systems for performance management and employee wellbeing as part of the HR approach to continuous improvement
- Work alongside the Talent Team to support the implementation of the talent strategy, including succession planning management, personnel development plans (PDP) and career development processes
- Support training programmes
- Design and implement initiatives to develop and promote employee engagement
- Action and support HR projects
- Update HR policies and procedures in line with best practices and relevant employment legislations
- Plan and deliver key organisational change programmes
- Optimise the use of the HRIS systems and ensure data in continuously up to date
- Ensure budgets and adhered to and analysis of spend is up to date
The Person
- 3rd level education
- Associate CIPD qualified
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a HR Business Partner/Senior HR Advisor/Senior HR Generalist, essential
- Experience working within a fast paced, commercial environment
- Sound knowledge of NI employment law and best practice
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
