Reporting to the Engineering Manager the ideal candidate will be a multi skilled Engineer used to working in a fast paced and hands on position, be well organised with the ability to maintain attention to detail whilst working under pressure in a busy working environment. Working Hours are on a 2 week rotation. Monday to Friday 7am- 4pm and Monday to Friday 2pm until 11pm. Overtime may be available at weekends. Main Duties and Responsibilities Carry out plant checks and readings on essential equipment. Work efficiently to ensure all electrical/mechanical engineering work is completed in a safe manner. Conduct continuous monitoring of production lines to identify and implement improvements. Carry out machine inspections, conduct relevant repairs or improvements and carry our preventative maintenance on equipment on a daily basis Provide mechanical or electrical assistance to breakdowns. Undertaking Planned Preventative and reactive maintenance works which includes diagnosing and correcting faults Ensuring that jobs are completed on time in compliance with PPM plans and service level agreements Assist, where necessary, with the works of external contractors To maintain a good standard of housekeeping in workshops, stores and plant rooms Liaison with Production to provide pro-active support ensuring maximum performance and efficiency of production runs Compliance with all company ISO, SAP & HACCP procedures, ensuring all works are carried out in a safe, tidy and hygienic manner Escalate issues of serious level immediately to the Engineering Manager To support continual improvement through identifying site improvement projects and personal development opportunities to the Engineering Manager To support continual improvement through identifying site improvement projects and personal development opportunities to the Engineering Manager Training and Development - To help the Supervisor identify training needs and opportunities by highlighting your own needs at appraisals. To work to agreed training plan, bringing any skill shortfalls/difficulties to the attention of the Supervisor. Ensure understanding of expected standards and targets before commencing any task. To carry out all assigned tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to Health and Safety and Food Safety. To ensure that where PPE is provided for any of the above task, that it is correctly worn/used, maintained and any defects reported to the relevant key colleagues. To have a flexible approach to workloads/hours to ensure agreed throughput and yield targets are met. To report any problems regarding equipment/machinery to management.Requirements
