Duty Crime Solicitor, police station accredited urgently needed.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Duty Crime Solicitor to join our Client's Crime Department.

Ideally, we are looking to recruit a Solicitor that has at least 3 years post qualified experience. However, we would consider newly qualified solicitors as well.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload undertaking fee earning work for clients in the field of Criminal Law and representing clients both in court and at the police station.

Day to day you will be acting as an advocate in court on a wide variety of cases and preparing cases for Crown Court and acting as a Duty Solicitor so you should be able to work outside normal office hours as necessary.

You will be:

• Providing advice at court and police stations 
• File preparation and reviews for magistrates and crown court cases
• Advocacy in the magistrate’s court for trials
• Handling Bail applications and Remand hearings

It is essential that the applicant have a sound knowledge of Criminal Law, combined with strong management, communication, and organisational skills.
