Interim Project Manager - Finance Systems

Pay Rate: up to £407 per day PAYE depending on experience
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 6 months
City: COLCHESTER

Hybrid position with the expectation to attend the Epping Forest and Colchester offices twice per fortnight.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for examining the personnel and operational systems across both organisations and the role will require them to work directly with the Project Manager and key stakeholders to ensure the realisation of benefits and outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver design options that eliminate the resilience risks and look to futureproof the service, including identifying opportunities to share processes
Use empirical evidence and trends to identify potential roles across the partnership that will underpin our ability to retain key staff and build upon strengths to form a high performing team.
Take an active role in the Project Team, championing customer-led processes that rely on automation/digitisation, which in turn enable swift customer journeys and service cost efficiencies and identify how the design can significantly improve the Customer journey, outcomes, satisfaction.
Liaise and collaborate with services to rationalise and improve existing processes, constructively challenging traditional and established ways of working to evolve service delivery and reduce reliance on manual intervention.
Prepare and run virtual and in-person information gathering exercises that gain insight for customer journey and business process.
Accurately document process/workflow changes/cessation. Diligently update the project site, timelines and feed into project updates and progress reports. Consider and document data flows required for integrations to/from third-party systems and suppliers.
Report, write, and document desktop and system procedures and help in the training of end users to ensure successful implementation of process and system changes.
Design a sustainable support model for the future support of the delivered solutions across the Councils.
Support the Project Manager when and as needed in the wider implementation of process changes, executing other projects and duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Recognised accounting qualification (desirable) 

Experience:

Previous demonstrable experience of working on similar financial system implementations as a Business Analyst in comparable roles and organisations
Accounting experience (desirable)
Experience of working as a Business Analyst or as a system administrator on E-Financials (One Advanced) (desirable)
Delivering change in an organisation (desirable)

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, to convey complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration within cross-functional teams.
A subject matter expert, with the ability to deliver design options that address resilience risks and contribute to the future proofing of services.
Proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with teams to address challenges in processes and systems.
