Job Title: Media Teacher
Location: Brentwood
Salary: £110 - £230 per day
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Full-time

Are you passionate about the power of media to shape society and influence culture? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Media Teachers to join our secondary schools in Brentwood. As a Media Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students with the wonders of media production, analysis, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive media lessons that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of students.
  • Explore various aspects of media, including film, television, advertising, and digital platforms, through hands-on projects and activities.
  • Equip students with essential media literacy skills, empowering them to critically evaluate media texts and understand their impact on society.
  • Foster creativity and innovation through practical media production tasks, allowing students to express themselves through different mediums.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives that integrate media studies with other subject areas.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Media Studies or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for media theory and practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in teaching media production techniques, such as video editing, photography, and graphic design, is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to promoting media literacy and fostering critical thinking skills in students.
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and events that enhance the media learning experience.
