Job description

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our Client, A leading Engineering & Construction Consultancy have requirements for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Belfast on a full time permanent basis.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be involved in the design of building services on a range of small to large scale projects within various sectors such as Industrial, Residential & Education.

Essential Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering/Building Services related degree
• Minimum 5 years post-grad experience
• Chartered Engineer or working towards

Essential Skills:

• Experience in the design of mechanical (HVAC) systems in buildings/built environment including:
  • Thermal load assessment (heat gain/heat loss analysis)
  • Low Temperature Hot Water Heating
  • Mechanical Ventilation
  • Natural Ventilation
  • Hot, Cold and Potable Water
  • Public Health (above ground foul drainage)
  • Gas systems
  • Air-Conditioning (VRF/DX)
  • Chilled Water
  • Low zero carbon design solutions
• Experience of producing design drawings, specifications
• Report writing skills
• Good communication skills
• AutoCad

Desirable Skills:

• BIM Experience
• Revit Experience
• NBS Chorus
• IESVE Thermal Modelling
