Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Bury-based Primary School (M45) (Whitefield/Bury)

Contract: Full-Time

Start Date: April 15th, 2024

End Date: July 19th, 2024

Position Overview:

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the class teacher to support a student with Special Educational Needs.

Implement and adapt learning materials to meet individual learning requirements.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Provide one-on-one support and general class support when needed.

Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant experience either professionally or personally working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient and compassionate approach to working with children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
