UK Healthcare Development Manager – Air Freight

Salary: Competitive + car allowance + bonus + benefits
Location: Hybrid. Between London Heathrow/Home. This role will also involve regular travel to visit clients.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Develop a robust air freight sales pipeline across Healthcare targeting new customers such as Pharmaceutical, Biopharma and MedTech (medical devices)
- Focus on specialist value-added solution selling (e.g. temperature sensitive)
- Identify and pursue significant new air freight business opportunities through market research and proactive outreach.
- Manage enquiries, RFQs, and tenders from inception to conclusion.
- Collaborate with the Air Product team to craft customer-centric value propositions.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of our air business unit in the UK.
- Present compelling, value-adding solutions aligned with DB Schenker's standards.
- Ensure new business is implemented effectively with detailed SOP creation and close collaboration with key Operations stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain influential relationships within potential major clients.
- Attend expos that will enhance our Healthcare brand in the UK
About You
- Extensive knowledge of the Healthcare sector including GDP compliance
- Has a proven sales record in acquiring new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Possesses a strong background in Air or multi-modal freight forwarding.
- Experience in managing large and complex tenders leading to significant opportunities.
- Is skilled at building trust and establishing high-quality relationships with customers.
- Demonstrates effective presentation skills and excellent written and spoken English.
