Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Burnley
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in Burnley. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with challenging behavior and special educational needs (SEN) within a classroom setting. Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to students with challenging behavior and/or SEN, ensuring their inclusion in all aspects of the school curriculum.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective behavior management strategies.
Assist in the development and delivery of individualised education plans for students with special educational needs.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support the implementation of the national curriculum and adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of students.
Requirements:
Minimum of Level 2 Supporting Children in Schools qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working with children in a school setting, with a focus on challenging behavior and/or SEN.
Familiarity with the national curriculum and the ability to support its implementation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude when faced with challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
