Job description
An award winning property developer based in Kent is looking to hire a Financial Controller, to oversee the finance function and ensure a strong financial control environment across the business.
Reporting to the CFO, key responsibilities will include:
Management Reporting:
- Overseeing the monthly management accounts process
- Production of the monthly board papers for the Group Board Meeting
- Management and co–ordination of the annual reporting timetable
Financial Reporting & Control:
- Balance sheet reporting and governance
- Operational opportunities and risks identification
- Co–ordination of monthly department cost and revenue reviews in conjunction with the Management Accountant
- Production of entity year end accounts for audit
Transactional Finance:
- Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including month end payment runs
- Management of payroll, pension, EV car scheme and group protection policies
- Management of annual Group insurance renewals
- Manage the day–to–day relationship with external agencies including Companies House, HMRC, and the Group's external auditor
- Management and monitoring of portfolio managing agents
Applicants Must Be:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified within post qualified experience either in practice or industry
- Possess an excellent eye for detail and comfortable working in SME environment and be hands on where necessary
- Comfortable managing a small team, and interacting at CFO/CEO level
This role is predominantly based at their stunning offices in Kent.
