Contract Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Long-term Nuclear)
North West based
Long term contract (minimum 2 years with a 1 year optional extension)
Highly competitive market rates - dependent on experience and suitability
Remote/Hybrid working from home up to 4 days per week, 1 in the office, occasional site visits and meetings as and when required.
We are currently working for a Pan-European engineering consultancy who are going through a long period of sustained growth. Due to the nature of the client and projects they take on they have remained busy for the last few years. They work across many sectors but often find themselves on some of the most technically challenging schemes in the country. As part of lucrative contracts to provide engineering design services to some of the UK’s most sensitive nuclear sites they are looking to recruit talented and capable engineers across multiple disciplines.
Thanks to their prolonged work winning across their business sectors, in particular nuclear, they have a number of positions available for electrical and EC&I engineers based in the North West.
Information on the individual projects is limited at this stage due to the nature of the work, site and security. All of the projects they are working on are long term with a minimum commitment of 2 years, the majority of the work is at a North West site, but they are also involved in projects across the UK. You will be based from home but working from the office on the outskirts of Manchester 1 day per week – there will also be occasional site visits to attend.
The ideal people we would like to speak to are:
- Senior level engineers with 8+ years experience within electrical or EC&I design engineering.
- Experience of working on nuclear projects and within the nuclear sector.
- Current SC or DV clearance or have previously held either of those levels of clearance recently.
- Willing and able to travel to site or to the office 1 day per week.
