Business Development Manager (Construction) Northampton (Covering Derby to North M25) Up to £45,000 + Annual Bonus + Company Car + Technical Training + Progression to Director This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and rapidly growing business, within a Business Development Manager position. Do you want to work for an exciting business where you can make an impact on their success?This consultancy work with a variety of local and large nationwide housing developers, contractors, and land promotors, providing a range of utility and project management services. Part of a larger group, this location aims to expand their current market through developing their current business relationships and finding profitable new business opportunities. They aim to build upon their excellent industry reputation within the housing development and residential markets, with the view to branch into commercial construction in future. They are now looking to hire for an important Business Development Manager position to cover a large part of the Midlands and facilitate their ambitious growth plans.The ideal candidate either have experience within business development from a Construction background or have experience within technical roles within the residential or housing development industry, looking to move into a business development role. The ideal candidate may also have utilities experience and contacts within the utilities or housing sector. The ideal candidate will also being based from offices in Rushden and covering a patch between Derby and M25 North.This is an exciting company to join a new and exciting business with a growing industry reputation. Within this role, you will play a real part in the company’s success, with the opportunity to progress to Director for the right candidate. The Role *Develop existing client relationships and developing potential new business through researching the utilities market.*Work alongside the Directors.*Critical role in helping this region of the business grow, driving client acquisition, and converting leads.*Creating sales forecasts and attending conferences to build relationships with industry partners.*Develop a strong technical understanding of the utilities sector.*Split between office working in Rushden and being on the road visiting new and existing clients. The Person *Business development experience from a housing developer ideal but not essential.*Happy to consider candidates from a general construction business development background.*Also, happy to consider candidates with technical experience within the residential market looking to move into a business development role.*Comfortable with training and developing technical knowledge within the utilities industry.*Comfortable building the company brand.*Happy to work a hybrid role and attend clients across the Midlands.
