This is a great time to join our forward-thinking and innovative pharmacy team. We are developing our pharmacist team and invite applications for Rotational Pharmacists. We are looking for motivated and compassionate pharmacists with a willingness to learn and work effectively across our clinical teams. This rotational role will build your experience in a range of clinical areas. We offer a fulfilling role, in a friendly and collaborative department with opportunities for development.Support will be provided by our Education and Development Team and Speciality Pharmacists. You will join our STAR (Start, Training, Advantage, Rotational) programme with opportunities to learn with your peers and access supervision, portfolio/credentialing, competency framework and effective training including thenewly qualified clinical diploma programme. Our location is close to the country’s most beautiful beaches and the broads national park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. You will work across a variety of clinical specialities to support the safe and timely discharge of patients, clinical screening and accuracy checking within the dispensary and medicines safety and quality improvement. The rotational clinical pharmacist role supports the Lead Pharmacists and Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager to develop the specialist clinical pharmacy service across a range of specialities, in line with local and national standards and policies, ensuring the safe, clinical and cost-effective use of medicines and staff resources. You will deliver pharmaceutical advice and effective communication with patients, the pharmacy team and healthcare professionals. You will participate in multidisciplinary meetings, support colleagues to deliver risk and financial management and clinical governance responsibilities around the use of medicines. You will support clinical supervision and mentoring for team members including trainee foundation pharmacists. You will support the Lead and Specialist Pharmacists clinical pharmacy audits and practice research. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King’s Lynn is located near some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, along the north Norfolk coast, and not far from Sandringham House. We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network. In February 2022 the significant progress that has been made at QEH was recognised by the Care Quality Commission who rated the Trust as ‘Good’ in all of the core services they inspected. They recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
