We are looking for an M&E Services Coordinator (Mechanical & Electrical) to join our team for a 15 months' contract.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
Reporting to the M&E Services Manager, you will work with the team to help the delivery of Hard Services maintenance and projects to the Wellcome UK buildings and facilities within the Environment & Workplace Services.
The Facilities and Workplace team ensure the building can operate 24/7. This is possible through the support of the incumbent hard services team which includes mechanical and electrical building services support functions. Including, building fabric maintenance services, capital projects and project management, workplace facilities services, building management systems (BMS) services, forward planning and project strategy, CAPEX projects and compliance (Including ISO14004)
What will I be doing?
This role will work with the M&E Services Manager and liaising with our incumbent M&E service partner as required. The priority for this role is enabling the operation and maintenance of the M&E services ensuring in a timely manner that all related systems and services are safe and meet quality, best practice through approved codes of practice (ACOP) regulatory requirements and compliance.
As M&E Services Coordinator, you will:
Proactively prevent unsafe situations, by maintaining a safe and tidy place of work in relation to M&E services systems.
Ensuring that all relevant contractors' information is up to date and stored on the site permitting system (e.g. Verature) and manage the issuance of Contractors Access Forms (CAF). Ensure that the compliance register is up to date and completion is evidenced with robust records.
Working with the M&E Services Manager with approval/vetting of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). Warrant all relevant M&E regulatory and compliance requirements are managed on time, to quality and budget.
Lead on the M&E related health and safety audits for our service partner including maintenance and completion of corrective action and lessons learnt. Identify and put processes in place to ensure best practice standards for planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across all departments.

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest and understanding of mechanical and electrical building engineering service operations and maintenance.
We are looking for someone who:
Is working towards or achieved IOSH Managing Safety qualified
is working towards or achieved Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Building Maintenance Multi-Trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations (BMMRRO)
Is able to organise MEP tasks and environments to function in ways that achieve great outcomes
Has the confidence to call out safety and compliance risks, with some knowledge of Regulatory compliance CDM2015, HSW act 1974.
Is able to effectively communicate and build relationship with people at different levels internally and externally to the organisation

Our Hybrid Way of Working

We are currently working 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices (as part of our hybrid Ways of Working) with the remaining 3 days from home.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work in the building ideally 4 days in the office (core office days included) and potential one day working from home.
