Hybrid (1-2 days in office and the rest remote) | up to £55,000 per annum | + other flexible benefits

Overview:

A leading food brand are looking to recruit a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their team, this is a critical role within the company that enables and supports delivery of strategic sourcing activity. The primary purpose of the sourcing team is to develop and execute strategies to secure value for all clients. In addition, this role works extensively alongside our category, account teams, and the wider business to deliver commercial KPI’s, work on strategic projects that have wider impact across the organisation and represent company in the wider marketplace.

The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in supporting the company achieve strategic priorities around across their non-IT spend (HR, Marketing, Professional Services, Legal, Consumables, Equipment).

What the role involves:

• Being responsible for all sourcing outcomes on the projects within your remit, ensuring they, reduce supply chain risk and deliver value for all clients
• Managing several tenders, both through your team of buyers and independently
• Build great relationships with clients, stakeholders and the internal team
• Document and demonstrate risk management strategies in line with your supply base, with support of category

The person we hope to find:

• Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain within a retailer, foodservice or FMCG organisation
• Strong background in procurement, focused on strategic sourcing and or category management
• Ability to influence and gain buy in from senior level stakeholders both internally and externally
• Strong decision maker, with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £55,000 per annum
