Showroom Administrator – Chester

Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 6pm

We have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Showroom Administrator to join our Chester showroom.

For over 40 years Harvey Jones have hand built more than 20,000 bespoke kitchens and know exactly what it takes to deliver furniture that our clients are proud to use and have in their homes. We craft our kitchens in five simple, beautifully made designs. They are built to last using traditional construction techniques, and each design can be customised and personalised to our clients’ exact needs and tastes. We are a growing company with 29 showrooms across the UK, and our award-winning ranges and projects are regularly featured across magazines, newspapers and design websites. We are dedicated to continually driving ourselves and our business forward. We will not stop because we aim to be the best!

The role of Showroom Administrator is intended to enable Kitchen Designers to dedicate maximum time to sales and design activity while ensuring the production, procurement and installation functions are working with specifications which support a right-first-time approach and minimise error, remedial cost and delay.

The Showroom Administrator is a critical role within the Client journey, and may provide an opportunity to develop into the role of a Design Associate. A Design Associate is involved in all aspects of the client project, through to final sign off of look/ feel and final ordering.

The Role:

Showroom upkeep and maintenance (health & safety; stock stationary orders and monitoring; showroom presentation. 

Managing administration duties (client communication; filing; petty cash). 

Showroom diary management to ensure sales cover. 

Liaising and building professional relationship with teams across the business.

Assisting with the ordering of appliances, worktops, and accessories 

Updating and maintaining accurate job costing sheets 

Tracking orders to ensure progression to meet deadlines and targets for spec flow, delivery and sign off. 

Meeting and greeting walk in prospective clients, answering any questions they might have.

Dealing with customers complaints according to company's procedures. 

Logging and chasing payments and credits (clients and suppliers). 

Person Profile:

You will have previous work experience in an administrative role – preferably sales admin.

Strong attention to detail and accurate in producing information.

Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a team or alone.

Will be highly organised and able to coordinate projects through to completion

Ability to think on your feet and resolve any issues that may arise.

Experience using Arti-CAD is beneficial.

Able to influence others when necessary.

May on occasion travel to other showroom locations.
