Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, digitally minded, clinical leader to play a key role in the implementation, optimisation and adoption of our new Electronic Patient Record and Microsoft 365. As a Digital Clinician you will work as part of a team to deliver effective digital transformation across Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.
You will have a strong interest in how digital solutions can help provide high quality, safe and efficient patient care and will be pivotal in engaging with clinical teams to optimise their use of technology to improve service delivery.

The post holder will report to the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and work closely with clinical, technical and operational colleagues within our divisional structure and digital directorate.
We are looking for exceptional individuals who have experience in digital transformation and innovation.
Key aspects of the role will be to: To operate as a clinical leader leading the design of digital services and capabilities in a division or specialty (e.g. inpatient services, community services etc.).
Hold expertise on digital clinical safety and user led design, leading relevant working groups/projects, services, and initiatives to provide digital transformation, information and analytical advice and expertise.
Ensure Clinical Safety is considered throughout the lifetime of projects and initiatives, identifying and mitigating associated clinical risks

The Trust's Digital Strategy describes the use digital technology to innovate, enhance and automate services that improve the experience of our staff, partners, and the communities we serve. A digital transformation programme has been established to deliver a step change across our core information systems, technology architecture, data and information.
The Digital Clinical Lead is a digital leader responsible and accountable for advancing clinical quality and safety through the optimal use of digitally enabled clinical initiatives that effect or involve clinical practice. The role will focus on optimisation and innovation via Microsoft 365 and the electronic patient record.
This post is part of a team of clinical, technical, and operational leadership roles within the digital directorate that will ensure the digital agenda is strategically aligned with future models of care and workforce strategies and addresses the day-to-day operational challenges facing our clinical teams.
This role also supports the Trust’s Transformation Programme providing clinical leadership and linking digital and operational transformation via our divisional structure.
A key aspect of this role will be to encourage and support clinical colleagues to embrace transformational change associated with the digital agenda and to act as a liaison between the Trust’s clinical collective and the EPR and M365 programmes.
