Overview
Debbie Burbage Recruitment is excited to present a unique opportunity for a skilled IT Service Desk Team Leader at our esteemed client’s Northampton-based office. This pivotal role involves leading a dedicated team of two, providing exceptional third-line support for a bespoke system as well as addressing various network technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small IT service desk team to provide efficient and effective third-line support.
- Ensure high-quality technical support for a bespoke system, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and resolve network-related technical challenges, ensuring reliable system performance and connectivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the support process, enhancing the overall productivity and efficiency of the team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to IT support and system management.
- Provide regular reports on help desk efficiency, issue resolution metrics, and team performance.
- Ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest technologies and IT support methodologies.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Service Desk Team Leader or similar leadership role within an IT support environment.
- Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, and various support platforms.
- Experience in providing third-line support for bespoke systems and resolving complex network issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of handling both technical and non-technical queries.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco) would be advantageous.
Remuneration
- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience)
- On-call supplement
- Working Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm
