You will be reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager. Closing date 31/01/2024Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is offering the challenging, but exciting opportunity to join our Logistics team on an Advanced Apprenticeship Programme. You will be reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager. What will I be doing?In this role you will be actively engaged in all aspects of Logistics Operations to support a diverse Logistics Operations team across a wide range of Inbound & Outbound warehouse & storage activities, including but not limited to: · Warehouse/Stores/Yard administration,You will promote and use Lean principles, 6 sigma methodology & Logistics Industry Best Practice in all logistics activities to Correct, Improve & Develop logistics processes and maintain/update logistics procedures/work instructions as appropriate. This qualification is based on national occupational standards requiring you to demonstrate both logistics skills and knowledge, with the ability to organise work and identify and prevent problems. This will enable you to develop an excellent foundation in Logistics and Engineering. You will also be provided with job specific training relating to auditing standards and special processes.

You will have a keen interest in science and engineering and be able to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work. You will possess excellent problem solving abilities. The role of apprentice will require you to be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will be a motivated, hard-working individual with excellent planning and organisational skills. The ability to effectively work as part of a team and on your own will be key to your success. Educational Requirements Successful candidates will need to have achieved, or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSE's at grade C/4-5 or above to include Maths, English, Science and a technology. Time shared between the Safran Landing Systems Services site and the Training Providers site, both located in Gloucester Offers of employment will be subject to a relevant level of company security vetting, which will include a criminal record checkWhat do you need from me?
