What does this Team Leader job involve?
Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 08:00 - 15:00 / 07:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 21:00 + Some Weekend Work
Leadership: Devise and update support plans, ensure safe staffing levels, lead shifts, monitor staff performance, and manage medication. Report safeguarding concerns and serious incidents to the relevant authorities.
Staff Supervision: Provide effective supervision, contribute to the monitoring of mandatory training, provide on-call support, and address non-compliance among staff.
Recruitment and Induction: Contribute to the safe recruitment of competent staff, ensure new staff receive proper induction and probation meetings. Escalate concerns about staff performance to the Registered Manager.
Support: Support individuals to lead the lives they want, make decisions, assess risks, maintain and develop skills, access community facilities, manage finances, and achieve their ambitions as set out in their support plans. Provide personal care when required.
Professionalism: Act as an ambassador for the service, maintain professionalism and integrity. Refrain from befriending staff or service users on social networks, and always act in the best interest of any person who may lack capacity.
