Exciting Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
Location: Newry, Northern Ireland
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (Performance bonus)

Join our client's Construction Division as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager and contribute your expertise in cost control, negotiation, and market insight. This role is perfect for an experienced Senior QS ready to step up or an established Commercial Manager from a housebuilder or developer background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all commercial aspects of housing developments, ensuring cost control and effective subcontractor management.
- Execute accurate cost estimates, procurement, and tender processes.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks to maximize project profitability.
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Mentored and supported junior commercial team members.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS or CIOB membership preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within residential construction.
- Strong grasp of construction contracts and regulations.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office and relevant software.
- RICS or CIOB membership is desirable but not essential.
