HV Authorised Senior Electrical Engineer

We currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (Authorised Person) to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP, Combined Heat and Power, Power Generation and District Heating sector.
Job Summary:
- Based out of Woking, Surrey your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain Electrical assets within energy centres and distribution networks. Planning and carrying out PPM works.
- Act as an Authorised Person for High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems, in compliance with local and DNO rules.
- Production of safety documents and isolation of complex LV equipment and systems.
- Produce, receive, and approve relevant RAMS.
- Overall responsibility for management of district heat, power, and chilled water electrical apparatus.
- Management and control of projects and tasks additional to Operation and Maintenance activities, including plant replacement, new customer connections and network extensions.
- Effective Supervision of work undertaken on HV and LV installations including condition monitoring and testing of installed systems.
- Operational and emergency HV/LV switching.
Key Skills Required:
- Qualified and experienced electrical engineer and previously qualified to Authorised Person level for Low Voltage systems and High Voltage systems up to 11,000V.
- Experience of CHP generation, power generation plant, high voltage switchgear, electrical distribution, heating, and cooling networks.
- PLC/SCADA systems experience.
- CMMS systems experience.
- A strong understanding of apparatus relevant to Distribution Network operation.
- Ideally qualified with City and Guilds or similar HV operations (AP) or SAP.
- HNC/HND Electrical discipline also desirable.
- IOSH Managing safety or similar.
