About Us

White Lodge enables those with disabilities, their families, and their carers to lead fulfilling lives.

Supporting over 2,500 individuals across the country, we offer a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities.

Our wonderful site in Chertsey houses three specialist buildings, each with great facilities and services. These include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks, fitness and rehabilitation. We also offer many activities such as trips out, art, baking, swimming, and much more!

We are now looking for a Play and Youth Support Worker to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. We will also consider job-shares and those seeking part-time hours.

The Role

As a Play and Youth Support Worker, you will provide a range of activities for children and young people who use our services.

You will support the young people in taking part in a range of creative play and leisure activities, ensuring that they are physically comfortable - particularly those who may be dependent on others to manually handle them into position.

Aligning with relevant policies and procedures, you will ensure that our environment is safe, ensuring good hygiene and reporting any concerns.

Additionally, you will:

- Keep relevant documentation up to date
- Ensure appropriate communication tools are always available
- Provide support during meals, considering dietary or cultural requirements

About You

To be considered as a Play and Youth Support Worker, you will need:

- Good play skills and the ability to engage children and young people in activities
- The ability to work as part of a team and exchange skills and ideas
- The ability to handle hoists and provide personal care
- To be punctual

All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Please make it known in your application if you are on the DBS update service.
