Job description
A Local Authority is looking for multiple Qualified Social Workers to join their Intake and Assessment team. These are all Permanent placements that offer a great amount of support with progression opportunities.
Intake and Assessment is a fast paced and exciting team and the work is diverse and progressive.
Practitioners undertake Well-being and S47 assessments and provide short term interventions to support families to increase safety within the home.
Practitioners hold cases for a short period of time; long term work is generally transferred at the first planning meeting.

Responsibilities of you as a Social Worker:
- Ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people.
- Provide support and protection for children and young people in need and at risk.
- To manage and prioritise the workload, carry out duties using accountable professional judgement.
- Completing S47 assessments
Requirements of you as the Social Worker:
- Social Care Wales registration
- Experience in assessments, care planning, person centre planning and care management skills
- A recognised qualification in Social Work Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree
- A full UK driving licence
- DBS clearance
- Authority to work in the UK
Location: South Wales
Salary scale: £38,223 - £42,403 + £5000 yearly supplement payment (£43,223 - £47,403).
