QSE Coordinator, Permanent position, Upto £28,000 + Benefits
Summary of main purpose of the job: The QSE Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the quality, health & safety, and environmental systems of the company. Reporting to the QSE Manager and Factory Director, the coordinator ensures compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, conducts internal audits, and oversees various aspects of safety and environmental management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality:
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Conduct internal audits to maintain the Quality Management System.
- Act as a representative in dealings with the Certification body.
- Maintain quality procedures and documentation.
- Implement systems to meet customer needs for HACCP and hygiene requirements in production.
Safety:
- Stay updated on current legislation governing health and safety at work.
- Implement the company health and safety policy effectively.
- Coordinate risk assessments and issue Permits-to-Work.
- Conduct weekly site inspections.
Environment:
- Monitor and test effluent to ensure compliance with Discharge Consent.
- Liaise with Environment Agency Inspector during annual inspection.
- Ensure compliance with the PPC Permit, including regular site inspections.
- Assist with waste management on site.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist the QSE Manager and Factory Director in other tasks as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Internal Auditing.
- NEBOSH trained is preferable.
- Degree in Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences or working experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of environmental management systems and PPC permits.
- Strong planning, organizational, teamwork, and presentation skills.
- High level of competency and accuracy in writing and maintaining clear and professional documentation.
- Self-starter - able to work individually and across all departments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm
- Friday: 8.00 am to 3.00 pm
