Job description
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children with SEN, particularly autism? I am working with a small, welcoming primary school in Salford that requires a patient, sensitive Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs.
Teaching Assistant Role and Requirements:
- Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role
- Supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 and group basis
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- TA qualification and relevant UK experience required
- Enhanced DBS required
- Start date - April 2024
- End date - October 2024
The successful teaching assistant will have experience supporting children with additional needs and must have a calm, patient approach. You must have clear understanding of autism and how to support children at different levels on the spectrum of need. You must be able to provide plenty of encouragement and be skilled at helping the children make steps of progress academically, as well as improving communication skills, vocabulary and confidence in expressing themselves.
