Internal Sales Representative

Job description
As an Internal Sales Representative you will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives for UK and Export Sales. You will communicate with customers to understand their needs and generate new leads.
You will need to be proactive in identifying new sales opportunities through calls and emails and help Business Development Managers support customer requests and close sales deals.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
- Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, cold e-mails, and inbound lead follow-up calls
- Understand our customer’s needs and requirements to identify sales and upselling opportunities
- Contact inactive and declining customers to reactive them by generating additional/repeat orders
- Identify Sales leads by researching accounts, identifying key players, and generating interest
- Respond to incoming customer calls or e-mails, provide product information or pricing information, advising on stock availability and lead times.
- Follow up estimates sent, and any outstanding leads that have not yet been resolved.
- Maintain and expand the Sales database using CRM software
- Keep up to date with product and service information and competitors offers
- Perform effective online meetings and demos of our products with prospective customers
- Checking company quotations and purchase forms
- Have a clear understanding of logistics constraints
- Account management
- Generate monthly reporting as required
- Communicate effectively with our Business Development Managers and Account Manager to support an effective team sales effort
- Any other duties as required.
A successful Internal Sales Representative will have a range of skills and qualifications to perform duties effectively.
These skills and qualifications include:
- Proven outbound Sales experience
- Track record of over-achieving objectives
- Excellent telephone presence and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Able to multi-task, prioritise, and manage own time effectively
- Strong numeracy skills for accurate and quick calculation of sales prices, discounts, and percentages.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with an ability to learn unfamiliar software packages. Experience using CRM software would be desirable
