Job Title: Assistant Headteacher: Behaviour & Attitudes
Location: Bankside School, Hanley Castle, WR8 0AD
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term time

Due to growth in service, we are recruiting an Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour & Attitudes to join our amazing team at Bankside School part of Options Autism.
About the role
The successful applicant will support the Head of School in overseeing behaviour and pastoral support in line with the school vision; support the Head of School in leading on the effective implementation of school policy of strategy and support new pupils through transition into school, including supporting those on transitional timetables.
You will oversee, promote and improve school attendance; monitor and review behavioural and pastoral data including attendance, lateness, relationships and culture, anti-bullying, exclusions etc; collaborate with the Pastoral Manager to ensure that effective safeguarding practices are embedded across the school.
Support all staff in understanding the pastoral and behavioural needs of SEN pupils and promote a culture and practice that enables all pupils and young people to access the curriculum.
You will support the DHT and Head of School in monitoring pastoral and behavioural progress of pupils and young people and will collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Clinical Professionals to provide identified provision and interventions for pupil(s) and work with the SLT, subject leads and teachers to ensure all pupils learning is of equal importance and that there are high and realistic expectations of pupils.

Bankside School is an exciting new venture that opened September 2023 near Hanley Castle, Worcester. Our new specialist school will cater for young people aged 11-18 years old with Autism, Complex needs and learning disabilities and has the capacity for c60 students.
For over 16 years, Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
