TRFS is committed to paying 40ph above the Scottish Government’s Living Wage declared 2024/25 rate for Social Care. This means from April 2024 we intend to pay £12.40ph i.e. 40ph above the Scottish Government’s committed rate.
Role: Support Practitioner Location: CUPAR Hours: Full time Please note this is a 24 Hour Service including sleepover All Support Practitioners in this service are required to have a driving license Why apply: Make a positive difference in someone’s life by joining The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in our East Fife services and help support the people who need it most in our communities! What Experience is needed: No previous experience in care is required as you will be provided with full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting. This training initially consists of classroom-based sessions and e-learning as well as the opportunity to be at the start of the journey of an exciting new service where you will shadow current Support Practitioners in their day-to-day role and meet the people you will be supporting. On top of this training we will also finance and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care in-house! Where are our services: We have service's across the East Fife area including Levenmouth, Cupar, Buchhaven, Kirkcaldy, Leven, Anstruther, Glenrothes to mention a few. Though this role is for Cupar supporting in the clients home and in the community. We are actively looking for staff that have the right values who want to make a positive difference in a person’s life. Our staff are working to promote independence in a recovery based model of support. Daily tasks include but are not limited to, daily living tasks, a variety of other support needs and personal care. Requirements: As a Full time Support Practitioner you could be expected to work weekends, shift patterns and sleepovers when required. This role is full time hours. All roles at present require you to hold a driving license, About the Role: Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support and can include: Social Support- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme
