Reporting: Womens Team Scouting Coordinator

Location: Various locations within the Brentford Estate

Salary: 15.10 per hour

The role of the Womens Team Scout

Brentford FCs womens first team currently plays in tier six of the womens football pyramid but we are committed to progressing up the leagues as quickly as possible. The role of the Womens Team Scout will be to support the team in identifying and bringing in players that can assist with the achievement of the clubs womens team strategy. This is a parttime role (anticipated to be 510 hours per week) and will be primarily based out in the field assessing players across the relevant leagues in and around London.

Main Accountabilities

• To attend regular womens fixtures locally and regionally across the relevant womens leagues and tiers.
• To maintain and update the performance reports and other relevant databases apps and programmes to monitor track and report back on targeted players.
• Work closely with the Scout Coordinator and liaise with the womens Technical Lead around the identification and signing of players.
• Attend recruitment meetings with key personnel.
• To ensure all scout activity plans are updated on a weekly basis.
• To be an integral member of the womens staff team.
• To follow a clear strategy for the scouting and recruitment of players ages 16 and above.
• To implement agreed actions outlined in the clubs womens team recruitment strategy both locally and regionally in line with the FA (Football Association) and league regulations.
• To act in line with all relevant policies related to recruitment scouting and all other general club policies.

Person Specification Essential Personal Characteristics

• Talent ID Level 1 or other equivalent qualification
• FA Safeguarding certificate
• Team player who is flexible and able to adapt to changing business needs.
• Experience in the womens game as a player coach or as a member of staff or volunteer within a club
• A keen interest in talent ID recruitment and development within the womens game
• Knowledge of the womens football pyramid tiers 16.
• Committed to equality and diversity.
• Ability to adhere to talent ID frameworks.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop.
• Personal integrity and the ability to invoke trust and respect from others.
• Ability to travel to different sites.
• Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

Person Specification Desirable Personal Characteristics

• Talent ID Level 2 or above
• Prior experience of talent ID recruitment and development within the womens game
• Prior experience of scouting and analysis
• Valid membership of FA License Coaches Club
• General knowledge of the football industry regulations and player recruitment
