We’re looking for a proactive Senior Energy Analyst to join our national team at our Blackpool office, where we can work together to Optimise the world’s transition to net zero and beyond.

About the role

As Senior Energy Analyst within Optimised, you will be part of our Managed Services department, responsible for effective delivery of key activities related to the procurement of stakeholders energy contracts. You'll be part of a dynamic Procurement team; responsible for providing professional energy services to an array of large client accounts.

What you’ll actually do

• Communicate with clients regularly, providing high-level market intelligence, indicative prices and advice on renewal timings
• Review, where appropriate, all aspects of tenders, including RFQs, price analysis, client recommendations, and supplier feedback.
• Issue client recommendations with supporting rationale.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of Third-Party Charges, including what each charge is for, where we can obtain historic, current and future rates and how we will be advised of new charges
• Deliver market presentations, when required, to various client relationships.
• Maintain relevance of product suite, analysis methodologies and wider team knowledge, developing analytics tools where necessary.
• Lead and grow key procurement processes to ensure a high-level service delivery and to satisfy internal KPI’s.
• Preserve supplier relationships, including attending meetings, webinars and conferences.
• Mentor new and less experienced team members.
• Keep skills up to date with skills and developments in the role/expertise.
• Provide a contribution to continuous collaboration and innovation.
• Support managers in the provision of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the workplace.

What you’ll need

• At least 3 years' experience in Energy Procurement.
• The ability to articulate alternative propositions and make recommendations based on sound logic and reasoning.
• Interest in the UK energy industry with knowledge of market drivers.
• Strong analytical skills and numerate mindset.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel.
• Eligibility to work in the UK
