Lead EDS Engineer Position Description:
We are seeking a technically proficient Lead EDS Engineer to direct our project delivery team during the critical launch phase. As the EDS Lead Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of EDS design and development, from project inception to component release and delivery.
This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including project creation, 3D CAD design, 2D drawing creation, complexity generation, and integration of both low and high voltage EDS systems. Utilising industry-leading tools and techniques, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful integration and efficiency of our EDS solutions.
Lead EDS Engineer Experience:
- Exceptional ability to convey technical details and address issues to diverse audiences, fostering collaboration and cooperation across teams with varying levels of EDS expertise.
- Resilience and adeptness in managing challenging situations to guarantee the delivery of efficient, integrated, and robust EDS solutions for our products.
- Demonstrates passion for technical excellence and innovative problem-solving, coupled with a track record of technical leadership in previous roles.
- Self-motivated with a capacity to handle a demanding workload, blending engineering expertise with business acumen.
- Proficient in computer applications and adaptable to company-specific systems (prior familiarity with WERS, AIMS, JIRA Tickets, RMDV, ECRs is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided).
- Strong presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Detailed understanding of connector systems, harness components, and fuse box design is preferred.
- Experience in tooled component design, including harness formers and components.
- Familiarity with the development and deployment of EDS quality tools and standards.
- Background in Automotive Engineering design, development, and delivery.
- Knowledge and experience in EDS durability and validation testing, as well as EDS manufacturing and emerging manufacturing technologies.
