Job description
What you will do in your working day
The role holder, alongside current network resource, will work with external vendors in a professional capacity and handle support tickets and provide a high level of technical support to a wide range of users.
The role holder will work towards gaining a Level 4 Network Engineer apprenticeship, gaining both hands-on knowledge and experience via working with HC-One Network & Telephony Engineers and also via remote classroom led learning.

CORE/CLOUD/DISTRIBUTED TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT & SUPPORT
Working towards the following:
Ensuring all network, security and telephony components and services are:
- Built to prevailing standards, ensuring adherence to best practice
- Managed and updated to assure a reliable, safe and consistently positive end user experience
- Secure and operated within the prevailing security policies which aim to mitigate current and emerging threats
As well as:
- Hands-on implementation, management and support of network, security and telephony systems and services & analysing system and service performance, providing indication of health and recommending enhancements and opportunities for improvement to ensure they remain operational, optimised and available.
- Providing 3rd line incident and problem management, identifying recurring faults and issues and acting as the point of escalation with onward escalation to Infrastructure Team Lead/Technology Manager as necessary.
- Ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements, ensuring tickets are prioritised, updated and managed in accordance with guidelines.
- Participating in DDaT projects and service improvement initiatives & working with external service and support providers as required.

Production and maintenance of:
- Detailed technical documentation which describes services at sufficient level for them to be fully supported and allows impact of change to be accurately determined. technical service catalogue artifacts
