We are looking for an experienced Sales lead who is ready for a Channel Lead/ Controller role to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

 
Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to be responsible for the planning and delivery of channel growth plans in 2024 and beyond. Reporting to the UK & Ireland Sales Director, you will own the channel P&L as if it were your own. The role demands a great deal of commercial acumen, project involvement and reviewing crucial data, so is ideal for someone who enjoys managing a variety of tasks whilst keeping close to the details and numbers.

 
Here’s a sample of the type of things you will be responsible for:

 
• Through effective negotiation, maximise sales and margins for your channel. Develop and implement Joint Business Plans to secure breakthrough growth.
• Effectively using Category Management based customer proposals in order to achieve optimum share of space and promotional activity.
• Networking extensively within the channel in all relevant departments, developing positive working relationships in order to maximise sales and profits.
• Ensure accurate forecasting. Liaise with Customer Services, Demand Planning and Supply Planning to maximise on-going availability and meet service level targets.
• Responsibility for the development, mentoring and coaching of three direct reports.
• Developing KPI’s for the channel to produce volume, value, profit, share, distribution, ranging, pricing, space and display metrics.
• Managing promotional activity by owning the planning, delivery and post evaluation of promotions and recommending any improvements to deliver better return on future promotional investment.
• Management and Coordination of Admin and Reporting systems by delegation and monitoring of direct reports with a goal of best in class customer administration and data manipulation leading to optimisation of business performance e.g. reduce stock holding, highlight non-compliance, top/bottom performing stores etc.

 

Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got?
This is a great opportunity for someone with significant experience at Senior Business/ National Account or Channel Lead level. Experience in FMCG/ Cosmetics or Personal Care is a must and ideally you will have experience with multiple major Grocery and High Street retailers. 

 

Here’s what we are looking for:

 

• Significant commercial experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, Category Management or Purchasing.
• Significant experience of account management, within the FMCG market place.
• Computer literate (essential) Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication / presentation skills and analytical abilities are essential.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent account management, organisation and planning skills.
• Experience of managing a direct report is essential.
