Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Work one-on-one with the Manufacturing Specialist to learn the specialised skill set.
- Work with quartz glass and to check & inspect your work.
- Follow a designed program.
- Perform machining operations to manufacture production and prototype quartz components to precise dimensions.
- Inspect machining operations and finished products.
- Perform cleaning, grinding, cutting, and washing operations.
- Using CNC and manual machine centres, as well as hands on manual fabricating work.
- Report time and material movements in ERP system as required.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and clean work area.
The training you will be getting
Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)
Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
From September, it will be day release to Derwentside College, Consett.
